Spring Rhododenron Workshops & Tours
These workshop-style rhododendron tours take you to epic locations across Western North Carolina where the blooms are at their peak.

This is our favorite time of the year! The beauty is short-lived but we love shooting the Spring Rhododendron flower blooms! For our Spring Rhododendron Photo Tour, we show you to the locations in the Blue Ridge Mountains where the blooms are at their peak and teach you how to best capture the beauty of the Rhododendrons.
In 2026, we’re offering two options:

Hiking: generally very little hiking

This tour focuses on areas along or near the Blue Ridge Parkway and involves less hiking than our Roan Highlands option. 3 spaces per tour. During check out there is an option to request a private tour if you prefer. These tours will likely sell out!
The Spring Rhododendron Tours happen rain or shine. Some of the best images of these flowery scenes can be made immediately after an afternoon rain shower which are pretty common at that time of the year. Bring gear to protect your camera gear. You can buy a set of dry bags at Walmart for $7 and they work wonderfully.
